Lorie Ann (Riley) Back
Lorie Ann (Riley) Back, 61, wife of Wallace Lee Back of Fishersville, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at her residence. Mrs. Back was born in Staunton, Virginia on July 25, 1964, a daughter of Carolyn Marie (Johnson) Riley, and the late Robert Glenn Riley. Lorie was a payroll clerk and office manager for Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab where she was employed for over thirty-three years, and had perfect attendance for twenty-five of those years. She enjoyed cooking for her family at holidays, shopping, attending car shows with her husband, knitting, scrapbooking and gardening. Lorie loved her children, grandchildren and family unconditionally and will be missed by her many friends. Surviving in addition to her mother and husband of twenty-five years is a son, Danny Truslow, Jr. and wife Marie of Staunton; two daughters, Lorena (Truslow) Stauffer and husband, Adam of Staunton, and Heather (Truslow) Bowers and husband, Micah of Waynesboro; two step-sons, Andy Back and Bruce Back and wife, Candice both of Churchville; twelve grandchildren, Isla Bowers, Lyric Bowers, Devin Bolton, Ashton Bolton, Kaeden Bolton, Carter Truslow, Caleb Truslow, Hunter Back, Leighann Back, Bryce Back, Felicia Back and Ashley Back; three brothers, Doug Riley and wife, Amanda of Staunton, David Riley and wife, Laurie of Stuarts Draft, and Jeff Riley and wife, Barbara of Richmond; a brother-in-law, John Back and wife Mildred of Franks Mill; two special nieces, Bambie Brooks and Hillary Brooks; friends, Janice Brown, Abby Huffman, Heidi Brooks and husband, Chuck; many additional nieces and nephews; and her pet dog, “Molly”. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jonathan Greer. The family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to express a sincere “Thank You” to the UVA Cancer Center, the Hospice of the Piedmont and the Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab for their care and support shown to Lorie during her courageous battle with cancer.
