Pastor Charles David Clinedinst
Pastor Charles David Clinedinst, 86, of Mount Solon, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
He was born on March 29, 1940 and was a son of Anna Jane (Reeves) Clinedinst and the late Charles Winston Clinedinst.
Charles founded Freeman Trucking in 1983 and operated it until 2011. He was the devoted Pastor of Mount Solon Pentecostal Church for 34 years.
Charles loved gardening and fishing, but most of all, he loved his family.
Charles was united in marriage on February 6, 1960 to Connie Youene Michael Clinedinst, who preceded him in death on December 30, 2009. On April 23, 2022, he married Beulah Cook Losh Clinedinst who survives.
Charles is also survived by sons, Michael (Donna) Clinedinst, Chris Losh; brothers, James Clinedinst, Winston Clinedinst, Bobby Clinedinst, and John Clinedinst; sisters, Bettie Bowers, Bonnie Morgan, Ruth Cook, Joyce Barlow, and Nancy Wilson; grandchildren, Chad Clinedinst, David Clinedinst, Julie Merica, and Joshua Dove; twenty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by son, David Losh.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
A service celebrating Charles's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Mount Solon Pentecostal Church with Pastor David Clinedinst officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Church Cemetery.
