Richard "Dickie" Matthew May

Richard "Dickie" Matthew May, 73, of Grottoes, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

He was born on August 23, 1952, and was a son of the late James and Blanche (Croft) May.

Dickie was a hard worker, and worked in the convenience store and property management business.

He was united in marriage to Teresa May, who preceded him in death.

Dickie is survived by three sons, James (Tonya) May, Jake (Amanda) May, and Matt May; daughter, Sarah (Chris) Patterson; a sister, Nancy Pendelton; grandchildren, Andrew, Carson, Brianna, Reagan, David, Ryan, Tyler, Austin, and Taelynn.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike May, and his beloved dog, Buster.

A service celebrating Dickie's life will be announced at a later date.
