Glenn "Scott" Kobler
Glenn "Scott" Kobler, 68, of Grottoes, VA passed away April 26, 2026.
Scott was born in Buffalo, NY to Barb and Don Kobler. He has two sisters, Bonnie Hummer, and Amy (Jimmy) Dixon, and a brother, Jeff (Ellen) Kobler.
In 1980 he married the love of his life, Holly. Together, they had four children. Sons: Paul, Keelan (deceased), and MacKenzie (deceased), and a daughter Dakota (Aaron).
Scott graduated from Towson State University with a degree in biology. He went on to have a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Scott was a very curious and creative individual. He was an artist, builder, avid reader, and true outdoorsman. He was passionate about playing guitar. He studied martial arts, ran marathons, and did long-distance bike riding. He was a birder, he backpacked, hiked, and he camped. When health issues got in the way, he took up new pursuits. He painted barn quilts and learned hand-tool-only woodworking. He was able to make furniture pieces using wood from the property he shared with his wife.
He loved his family dearly and made them his number one priority. He had lifelong friends that meant to the world to him (shout out to Bob Baldwin). Scott will be missed dearly.
As Scott wished, his interment will be private. The family respectfully asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
