He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hawkins, his mother, Jean Robertson, and a brother, David M. Hawkins. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth E. Hawkins and his wife, Julie; two sons, Ethan M. Hawkins and Carter Hawkins and his wife, Taylor; a grandson, K. Blake Hawkins; and a niece, Elizabeth Huntsberry.
