Richard Lee McCrary

Richard Lee McCrary, 84, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Staunton Post Acute and Rehab.

He was born on February 13, 1942, the son of the late Jesse and Polly (Mann) McCrary.

Richard served his country in the United States Army as a photographer and continued his passion within the community as a career.

Richard was united in marriage to Judith (Parks) McCrary who survives.

Richard is also survived by son, Adam McCrary; grandchildren, Kailee Elyard, Jaiden Shirley, Mylah McCrary, Greenley McCrary; great grandchild, Oaklynn Simpson; brothers, Johnny McCrary, Jesse McCrary; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Amie McCrary; sister, Kay Wheeler; brother, Gerald McCrary.
