Ernest "Dickie" L. Michael

Ernest "Dickie" L. Michael, 86, of Mount Solon, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

He was born on September 9, 1939, and was the son of the late Emory P. and Anne (Knott) Michael.

Dickie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and also Mount Solon Pentecostal Church where he attended.

He was united in marriage to Joy Ellen (Kisamore) Michael, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2022.

Dickie is survived by sisters-in-law, Mardell Bodkin, Sharon (Charles) Graham; nephews, David (Dana) Kiracofe, Dale Kiracofe, Donald (Janet) Minnick; numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ernest was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Clinedinst officiating.
