Shelvey Jean (Holliday) Huntley

January 4, 1941 - March 22, 2026

Shelvey Jean “Pat” (Holliday) Huntley, 85, widow of Russell Liggett Huntley, of Staunton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at her residence, with her two sons by her side. 
Mrs. Huntley was born in Staunton, Virginia on January 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Frances Pauline (Desper) Holliday.
Pat was a member of Grubert Avenue Church of God and a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and coloring. Pat never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her. 
In addition to her husband of fifty-seven years and her mother, Mrs. Huntley was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelvey (Huntley) Lanum.
Surviving, are two sons, Russell Clinton “Rusty” Huntley and Ronald Floyd Huntley; son-in-law, George Lanum, Jr.; two sisters, Kay (Holliday) Waitier of Staunton and Faye (Holliday) Frazier and her husband, Ray of Louisa; seven grandchildren, George Lanum, III and his wife, Sarah, Shari Kalinka and her husband, Eric, Sierra Huntley, Sarah Huntley, Russell Liggett Huntley, II, Winter Huntley, and Anescia Brown and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens in Staunton by Pastor Jerry Thomas. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
