Roger L. Graham

DEERFIELD – Roger Lee Graham, 77, of Deerfield, passed away Tuesday (March 10, 2026) in his home.

Roger was born in Deerfield on March 3, 1949 and was a son of the late John and Mary Margaret (Adkins) Graham. He was a long-time employee of Staunton City Public Works, retiring after 30 years of service.

Roger was enthusiastic about all-things auto. He especially enjoyed vintage cars, truck pulling and drag racing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Amy Michelle Graham; two sisters, Violet Snider and Joyce Ann Orman; and four brothers, Elbert Leon, John Jr., William Mark and Martin Lynn Graham.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin Graham (wife Shawn Lambert Graham) of Deerfield and Timothy Graham of Waynesboro; a sister, Mary “Ludy” Stroop (husband Gary) of Deerfield; grandchildren Jordan Graham (Steven Chittum) and Joshua Graham (Katherine Redifer); great-grandchildren Carson, Dawson and Emerson McCray, Hayzel Chittum and soon-to-arrive “S.J.” Chittum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 in Deerfield Community Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Merle Dodson. Pallbearers will be Josh Graham, Steven Chittum, Gary Stroop, Eddie Shinaberry, Charlie Losh, Scott Ryan, and Andy Cox.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13 at Bear Funeral Home.
