Jeffrey Wilson
Jeffrey C. Wilson, 42, of Waynesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026 at his home. He was born in Lynchburg on March 21, 1983, a son of Jerry C. Wilson and Jeanette E. Wilson.
Jeffrey received his bachelor degree in history. He worked as a district manager with Sheetz and participated in many community events as a representative. Boating, fishing, watching football, keeping up with his fantasy football, playing Monopoly, and building Legos were a few of his favorite hobbies. He also really enjoyed attending any UVA Sporting event, grilling and smoking delicious food for his family and traveling with his family.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Almeda E. Wilson and Denver Wilson; maternal grandmother, June M. Wood and maternal grandfather, Allen Wood; cousins, Matthew Johns and Christopher Johns.
In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 16 years, Suzanne M. Wilson; children: Bennett C. Wilson, Kayleigh J. Wilson, and Mason J. Wrenn (Katie Wuerzberger); sister, Elizabeth J. (Wilson) Tibbs; aunts, Christine J. Johns and Virginia D. Schaitel; uncles, Guy Wilson and Larry Wilson; first cousins: Courtney Howell, Megan Schaitel, David Kirby, Darrell Kirby, Brenda Wilson, Cindy Bryant, Debbie Overstreet, Sandra Pointdexter, Glenda Wills, Marjorie Merkey, Patty Melvin, Donna Layne, Doug Wilson, Eric Wilson, Angie Ripley, Shawn Wilson, Jean Hughes, and Bill Farrar; second cousins: Corey Kirby, Trey Howell, Mya Howell, and Jackie Kirby; as well as many extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Deacon Bradley Duty officiating. Burial will following at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond. Those wishing to attend the burial will be asked to meet at the cemetery at 2pm.
Active pallbearers will be Kendall Stone, Matt Stone, Brandon Bunch, Trey Howell, Braxton Yasser, Rodney Bennett, Alan Overstreet, and Guy Wilson.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeffrey’s memory to the Sheetz for the Kidz.
