Patricia Knott Shaver, 78, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

She was born on April 22, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Milstead) Knott.

Pat retired from Western State Hospital.

She was united in marriage to Billy R. Shaver, who preceded her in death in 2003.

Pat is survived by two children, Timothy (Crystal) Shaver, and Angela (Terry) Thompson; brothers, Warren (Betsy) Knott, and Ronald (Kathy) Knott; grandchildren, Travis Shaver, and Ashley Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater anytime between 9 AM and 5 PM on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 to sign the guest book and pay their respects.

A graveside service celebrating Pat's life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, Feb. 28th at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Mt. Solon, with Chaplain David Kite officiating.
