Randall Timm
Randall “Randy” R. Timm went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at home in Lyndhurst, Virginia, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 19, 1939 to Raymond F. Timm and Alphond (Kimberley) Timm in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from Baxter Community School in 1957, and went on to attend the University of Iowa. Randall and Linda started dating in 1956 and were wed on February 14, 1960. Randall worked on his farm in Baxter, Iowa where he and Linda raised their six daughters. He loved his girls and was a true “Girl Dad.”
In December of 1986, Randall and Linda moved to Virginia where he worked at Brydge Construction, then later at Waynesboro Outlet Village as a Maintenance Supervisor. He retired in 2006.
Randall was devoted to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He shared his talents as a tenor for the Newton First Assembly of God church choir, and was active in Evangelical Explosion. In Virginia, he attended Wayne Hills Baptist Church where he continued to share his love for praising God in the choir.
His hands were always busy with something. Randall’s happy place was his shop where he was always balancing multiple projects. If it had an engine, he could fix it. He enjoyed restoring tractors, cars and trucks. While he could work on just about anything, he favored his Chevys and Minneapolis-Moline tractors.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karel Tanke.
He is survived by his wife of 66 blessed years and his daughters: Jodi (Doug) Vansice, Baxter, IA; Lisa (Alan) DeJong, Battle Ground, WA; Michele (Chris) Dahl, Hawthorn Woods, IL; Jill (Quinten) Gearhart, Newton, IA; Teresa Timm, Virginia Beach, VA; Marianne (Tim) Hays, Stuarts Draft, VA; grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Bruxvoort, Jordan (Stacia) Vansice, Taylor (Simon) Long, Zoey (Anthony) Arrienda, Ian Dahl, Casey Dahl, Chloe Gearhart (Brian Johnson), Colten Gearhart, Grover Meredith, IV, Logan (Brody) Jose, and Chez Timm; great-Grandchildren, Lilie and Staden Vansice, Breighton Vansice, Max and Kinsley Bruxvoort, Joanna, Seth, and Graham Long, Miles and Desi Arrienda; sister, Mari (Rod) Rederus, Tijeras, NM.
