Ramona P. Sanchez

Ramona P. Sanchez, 82, of Stuarts Draft, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Fishersville, Virginia.

Ramona was born on June 14, 1943 in Swink, Colorado to the late Carmen Palacio and the late Benita Baca Palacio.

She was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and the Harley Owners Group.

She loved playing bingo, going to casinos, the Denver Broncos, flowers, plants, and was a wonderful cook, but most of all she loved taking care of her beloved family and her pets.

Ramona was preceded in death by her mother, father and eight siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years of marriage, Frank Sanchez; children, Frances Martinez and her husband, Robert, Lee Sanchez and his wife, Martha, Christine Sanchez and Frank Sanchez and his wife, Melissa; grandchildren, April Martinez, Carlos Martinez and his wife, Melissa, Austin Sanchez and his wife, Morgan and Corry Colvin.; great grandchildren, Phoenix Martinez, Gabriel Sanchez, Asher Sanchez, Maverick Martinez, Kira Colvin, Maci Colvin and Jackson Colvin; sister, Rosie Munoz and numerous nieces, nephews, a special friend like a sister, Debbie Brown and her loving neighbors.

Ramona will be known for her very strong faith in Christ and she made sure to pray for everyone she knew.

The family will receive friends starting at 3:00pm for a celebration of Ramona’s life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 890 Maryland Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
