Frank Bennett

Frank Bennett, 82, of Hinton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his home.

He was born on February 11, 1943, and was a son of Hansel and Ruth Bennett.

Frank retired from Belmont Builders LLC after 31 years of service, and later went on to work for Mill Cabinet Shop for another 12 years. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Frank was united in marriage to Rhoda (Rodes) Bennett, who survives.

Frank is also survived by two children, Doug (Meredith) Bennett, and Kevin Bennett; brother, Wayne (Merna) Bennett;a sister, Doris (Chris) Scheffer; grandchildren, Lane (Chole), Ryan, Cody, Jackson, Kyle, and Abby Bennett; step-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison Fernandez; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Bennett, and a sister, Carolyn Jones.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A service celebrating Frank's life will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 3rd, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Burris McCombe officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church Mercy and Missions Fund, 546 W Mosby Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
