Daniel James Trimner
Daniel Trimner of Staunton, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Brittaney; their children, Wesley and Sophia; his mother, Marilyn; and his brother, David.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hal and his brother, Michael.
Daniel graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 2004. He then attended Blue Ridge Community College and Valley Vo-Tech. He was a well-respected master electrician and the owner of Danz Electric. His warm friendly demeanor earned him many loyal customers. He took pride in doing exceptional work, and he loved turning ordinary spaces into something welcoming and magical.
Dan poured that same creativity into being a father. He delighted in creating memorable experiences, building forts and igloos, and designing star ceilings. His children shared his love of music, and they would regularly put on family concerts in the evening.
Daniel’s faith in God moved him to regularly share in ministering to others, providing personal assistance with sincere kindness. His generous spirit, easy laughter, and unmistakable affection for cats will be sorely missed by all who love him. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
