Cody Layne

Cody Scott Donovan, 32, of Front Royal, VA, passed away in a tragic accident on January 18, 2026.

Cody is the son of Scotty O’Brien Donovan and Jani Elizabeth Walsh. He owned and operated his own mobile mechanic service, helping stranded motorists all up and down the Shenandoah Valley. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting but loved his daughter Taylor more than anything. Cody had an amazing work ethic and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Cody is survived by his daughter Taylor; parents Scottie Donovan and Jani Walsh (Abe); his siblings Cassidy Donovan, Christopher Walsh and Caylee Walsh; his grandmothers Joanne Duryea and Janet Sonner; as well as his girlfriend Rose Showers and her two children, Jazmyne and Jordan.

All services will be private.
