Claire Emma Dahlgren

Claire Emma Dahlgren, 90, of Grottoes, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab Center.

She was born on February 20, 1935, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Vera (Neisel) Schmidt.

Claire was united in marriage to Elwin Dahlgren, who preceded her in death.

Claire is survived by two children, Beth (Paul) Sullivan, and Gwen (Michael) McLemore; two grandchildren, Brittany (Mike) Einstein, and Caleb (MIchaela) Sullivan; a great-grandson, Declan Einstein; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Schmidt, and a sister, Marie Klineman.
