Wayne Barry Johnson

Wayne Barry Johnson, 77, of Grottoes, VA passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Wayne was born May 5, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois and was a son of the late Archie Willard and Lucille Elaine (Boyd) Johnson. He graduated from Grayslake High School and enlisted in the Army.

Wayne was united in marriage with Brenda Sue (Harris) Johnson on July 28, 1977.

Mr. Johnson is survived by a daughter, Belinda (Kirk) Landes and a son, Adam (Kira) Johnson; his sister, Diana Vega; brother, Clifford Johnson; grandchildren, Kelly, Colin, and Nicole Landes; a special niece, Sandee Martin and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sharyn (RW) Martin and brother-in-law, H. Benny (Jennifer) Harris.

He was an avid bowler and fisherman and retired after 30 years with the Harrisonburg/Rockingham Regional Sewer Authority.
