Darrell Gene French

Darrell Gene French passed away January 10, 2026 at Augusta Medical.

Darrell was born Feb 28th, 1957 to Bob French and Pat Shifflett who preceded him in death. He was raised by his grandparents, Elston and Marie French who also preceded him in death. He grew up in Mt. Crawford, VA and resided there at the time of his death.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 31 years, Reeoma (Missy) French and their "furry" children, Patches, Lewis, Daisy and Nelly. He is also survived by a younger brother, Jay Bird French, half sister Lora Huffman, half brothers, Jacques French and Billy Barnes. He is survived by his wife's sisters & brothers who he loved and appreciated dearly. He leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces.

The service will be Sat. January 17, 2026 at Mt. Crawford United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. It will be officiated by Pastor Kathleen Michael and assisted by Lyndon (Bubba) Bailey.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Harrisonburg/Rockingham SPCA in memory of Darrell.
