Josephine Marie Joseph Senger Lafley

Josephine Marie Joseph Senger Lafley, 101, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at White Birch Communities.

She was born on September 26, 1924 and was a daughter of the late David and Mimi Joseph.

Josephine had worked as a waitress. She enjoyed bowling, bicycling and was a great cook. She had lived in the Shenandoah Valley for over 80 years.

Josephine was united in marriage twice, first to Gilford B. Senger, who preceded her in death and then to Tom Lafley, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Harvey Senger, Nancy McCray, Shelia Joy, and Gregory Senger; three grandchildren, Mark Senger, Carla Anderson, and Jamie McCray; three great grandchildren, Gavin Senger, Rylan Anderson, and Piper Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.
