Charles "Charlie" Elwood Stickley

Charles Elwood "Charlie" Stickley, 75, of Grottoes, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Augusta Health.

He was born on October 10, 1950 and was a son of the late James H. and Edith (Sweet) Stickley.

Charlie retired as the town superintendent for Grottoes. He served his country in the US Air Force. Charlie loved traveling, going to his cabin, hunting and was a beekeeper.

Charlie was united in marriage to Lettie (Blackwell) Stickley.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Jamie Stickley, Matthew Stickley, Kenneth Stickley, and Kris Stickley; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Stickley; two sisters, Linda (Glen) Royer, and Sandy (Bryce) Connelly; numerous grandchildren, and a great granddaughter, and a special niece, Dianna Hughes.

He was preceded in death by mother, Edith Stickley; father, James Stickley; brother, James "Boodle" Stickley; brother, William "Champ" Stickley; brother, Joe Stickley; daughter, Heather Stickley; grandson Lucas Stickley.

A graveside service celebrating Charlies's life will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery with David Kite officiating.
