Mary Sue (Nutty) Wagner
Mary Sue (Nutty) Wagner, 86, wife of Donald Ray “Don” Wagner, of Mona Circle, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Wagner was born in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Edward Raymond and Minnie Ada (Moore) Nutty.
Sue was an active member of Third Presbyterian Church. She was an Honorary Life Member of the Presbyterian Women and a member of the Circle of Faith. She retired from Staunton City Schools and Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center as a L.P.N. after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by two sisters, Mona Jean (Nutty) VanMetre and Elizabeth “Libby” (Nutty) Smith; a niece, Mona Harmon; and a great-nephew, Brayden Kier.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, is a daughter, Kim (Wagner) Galloway of Staunton; two grandchildren, Ashley Galloway and fiancé Tony Bennett and Tiffany Galloway; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Bennett, Jacob Bennett and Legend Galloway; nephew, Mark Smith and wife Denise; great niece, Brooke McAllister and fiancé Ryan Kier; two great-nieces, Kaylee Harmon and Maddie Harmon; and special cousins, Peggy Guffey and Rhonda Fix and husband Phil.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory or the residence at other times.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 in Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 noon at Third Presbyterian Church by Rev. Jacob Singleton.
Active pallbearers will be John Darby, Phil Fix, Doug Galloway, Ryan Kier, Terry Lafon and Wayne Paxton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Smith, Don Galloway and Toney Bennett.
The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and Cindy Lewis with Visiting Angels.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Third Presbyterian Church, 1313 Barterbrook Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
