Michael Dennis Stump

Michael Dennis Stump, 60, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at English Meadows in Fishersville.

He was born on November 7, 1965, in Fairfax to the late Robert Stump and the late Barbara (Hill) Stump.

Mike grew up in the Shenandoah Valley and graduated from Fort Defiance High School. He had worked at Coca Cola, White Wave, IDM Trucking, Estes and last as a line catch-off worker at Hershey before retiring. Mike enjoyed building motorcycles and working on cars and trucks. He loved taking "adventure" trips and he also enjoyed hiking, sports and being outdoors. He loved his children and his dogs.

Michael was united in marriage on March 28, 2015, to Kathleen Stump who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, daughter Brittany McDonald and spouse Matt; daughter Melissa Stump, son Alexander Carter and step-son BJ Wilson; sisters, Sandy Stump, Kim Hebb and spouse Tim, Tanya Hebb and spouse Kent; grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Sara, Lane, Gentry, Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 2:00pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, in Weyers Cave, with Pastor Blaine Oliver-Thomas officiating.
