Leo Fogg
Leo Robert Fogg, 97, of Strasburg, VA passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Woodstock, VA.
Mr. Fogg was born in Holyoke, MA on September 23, 1928, the fourth of six children of the late John W. and Leonie Cormier Fogg, Sr. His family settled in Willimantic, CT. Mr. Fogg was a veteran who served two years in the U.S. Army and eight and half years in the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War, including serving on the USS Lyman K. Swenson. Upon completing his service in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from Shephard College where he earned his business degree. Mr. Fogg married Beverly Virginia Beeler and worked for his father-in-law, James S. Beeler, at Valley Gas Company in Strasburg, VA. He also worked for Aileen Inc., was a Controller at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, and a Comptroller at Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Fogg was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA, Strasburg Rotary Club where he served as a former treasurer, a Boy Scout leader, Lebanon Church 4-H Club Leader, and taught radio announcing at 4-H summer camps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Virginia Beeler.
Survivors include his only daughter Sandra Lynn O’Connor; two grandchildren Dr. Kathleen A. O’Connor and Deklan O’Connor along with a younger brother Don H. Fogg.
A funeral service for Mr. Fogg will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery with military honors given by Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
