Charles E. Wells

Charles E Wells, 75, of Mount Sidney, Virginia passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at his home.

He was born on August 16, 1950, and was a son of the late Clarence Wells, Sr. and Eleanor (Simmons) Wells.

Charles had worked as a laborer for Alcoa. He served his country honorably in the US Army. Charles was a member of Owensville Pentecostal Church.

Charles was united in marriage to Doris (Strickler) Wells, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by six children, Matthew Wells and wife, Tammie, Jonathan Wells and wife, Jennifer, Andrew Wells and wife, Brakki, Reuben Wells and wife, Julie, Aaron Wells and wife, Kristy, and Joel Wells; a sister, Cheryl Gideos; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Wells; sister, Sharon Roy; brother, Clarence Wells, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.

A graveside service will be held on at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery, with Pastor Travis Kidd officiating.
