Carol Johnson Davis

Carol Johnson Davis, 96, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her home.

She was born on December 13, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Isaac R. Johnson and Stella (Billhimer) Johnson.

Carol had worked as a cafeteria worker before retiring. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, selling and donating many crafts and afghans in the community and the UVA Children's Hospital. She was also a devoted den mother to the Boy Scouts. She was well known as the community seamstress.

Carol was united in marriage to Jasper Davis, Jr. for 66 years, who preceded her in death.

Carol is survived by three children, Dennis Davis, Steve Davis, Mark (Joan) Davis; grandchildren: Terry Jackson, Cameron (Anna) Davis, Annie Davis, Heath (Zoe) Davis, Will (Jessica) Davis, Amber Davis, Alyssa (Derek) Eberhard; great-grandchildren, Crimora, Alexis, Jasper, Harvey, Gabe, Eleanor, Andy, Davis, Cole; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; the family would like to give special thanks to Wayne and Mary Ann Hite.

In addition to her spouse, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Johnson and Arthur Johnson, daughters-in-law, Tina Davis and Sharon Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Wes Smith officiating. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 AM following the graveside service.
