Dewey Carson McNeal

Dewey Carson McNeal, 73, widower of Corliss Ann (Craun) McNeal, of Staunton, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah in Fishersville.
Dewey was born on December 20, 1951 in Staunton, Virginia, a son of the late Willie Franklin McNeal, Sr. and Thelma Beatrice (Boyne) McNeal.
Dewey was retired from Augusta County Public Schools. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and was a lover of animals.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward “Butchie” McNeal. 
Surviving is a brother, Willie F. McNeal, Jr. of Denver, North Carolina; two nieces, Jennifer Noble and her husband, Jeff and Carrie Davis and her husband, Anthony; three nephews, Jared McNeal and his wife, Jennie, Jeremy McNeal and his wife, Catherine and Jason McNeal; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Augusta Memorial Park, by Pastor William “Bill” Davis.
Active pallbearers will be Jared McNeal, Jeremy McNeal, Jason McNeal, James McNeal, Jennie McNeal and Catherine McNeal.
