Bonnie Monast

September 6, 1956 - September 4, 2025

Bonnie J. Monast, 68, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, surrounded by family on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in Arrington, Nelson County, Virginia. She was born September 6, 1956 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, daughter of Shirley Ann Day and the late Roger Armand Monast. She grew up in Airport Villa, Newcastle, Delaware and attended William Penn High School.

She retired from Target Warehouse Distribution.

Bonnie most enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards and dice, dancing and attending live performances by family, riding ATVs, fishing and camping, playing horseshoes and corn hole. She enjoyed bowling and being part of the league at one time.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bobby” Monast; her niece, Ariel Monast; her nephew, Christopher Bilbo and great-nephew, Justin Brogan.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Eric Lang (Jackie); her siblings, Gail Bilbo, Roger Monast (Susan), Pamela Reed, Michael Monast, Sr. (Becky), and Janet Geary; her grandchildren, Alexis Lang, Natalie Shea, Maximus Lang, and Noah Wright (fiancé, Destiny Willis); great-grandchildren, Zherella Wright, Xantheus Wright and Zharia Wright; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

“A mother holds her child’s hand for a while, but their hearts forever.” What we once enjoyed we never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us…

Thank you to all my family for being by her side and helping me through all this…

The family would like to add a special thank you to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Robert Harada Jr., Gabe Harada, James McLean, Sid and Tonya Eavey, Dylan Brogan, Cheryl Harada, Cullen Harada, Patricia Martin and Pamela Reed.
