Kentrina Zirkle

Kentrina Lynn (Bish) Zirkle, 82, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at her home. She was born in Mullens, WV, on August 1, 1943 a daughter of the late Basil and Virginia (Jones) Bish.

Kentrina graduated from JMU School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Augusta Medical Center from 1965 until her retirement in 2013. Kentrina was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She will be remembered as being a loving wife and mother and a friend to all with a nursing career to be remembered.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Fredric Carl Zirkle; children: Timothy Carl Zirkle and wife, Andrea of Lynchburg, Tina Denise Zirkle of Stuarts Draft, Trey Gordon Zikle of Chicago, IL, and Ryan Seth Zirkle and wife, Caitlin of Staunton, VA; grandchildren: Brett Zirkle, Sean Zirkle, and Jeremy Zirkle; five great grandchildren; “adopted” daughter, Janet McHenry; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Crossroads Baptist Church with Pastor Heath Spivey officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Timothy Zirkle, Seth Zirkle, Jack Bowman, Jesse Smith, Tyler Koch, and Chris Martin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church and following the graveside service at the family’s home.
