Thomas "Harvey" Jerry Mitchell

Thomas Jerry Mitchell Sr., 76, of Bridgewater, formerly of Port Republic, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Texas on March 7, 1949 and was the son of the late Raymond Curtis Mitchell and Sammie (Hawley) Mitchell.

Harvey had worked as a stone mason in the construction industry and worked for Nielson Construction.

Harvey was united in marriage on June 9, 1973, to Betty Mitchell who survives.

In addition to his wife, Harvey is survived by son, Thomas Jerry Mitchell, Jr.; two brothers, Curt (Susan) Mitchell, Charlie (Camilla) Mitchell; one sister, Candy (Gene) Reiver; two grandsons, Justin Mitchell, Connor Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Anthony Van Pelt officiating. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 205 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
