Lora Lee Baker

Lora Lee Baker, 58, of Staunton, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at her home.

She was born on March 4, 1967 and was a daughter of Melvin A. Morris and Mammie F. (May) Morris.

Lora had worked as a custodian for Peake View Elementary School.

For 37 wonderful years, she was united in marriage to Michael Baker who preceded her in death.

Lora is survived by a loving daughter, Stephanie (Adam) Dean, a beloved grandson, Rayne Dean; two brothers, Melvin (Sherrie) Morris and Gary (Mary) Morris; four sisters, Elizabeth (Bev) Thompson, Rebecca Smith, Anita Jameson, Annie (Jim) Thompson; father-in-law, Larry Smith; brothers-in-law, Phillip Smith and Steven (Dianna) Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lora was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Morris and mother-in-law, Joyce Smith.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.
