Rebecca Elizabeth Sherrill

Rebecca Elizabeth Sherrill passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in Richmond, Virginia following a lengthy illness. She was 43. 
Becca was born in Horseshoe Beach, Florida on October 18, 1981 to Mark and Julie Sherrill. 
She grew up in Horseshoe Beach and in Ocala, Florida until the age of sixteen when the family moved to New Market, Virginia. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School. She dreamed of becoming a nurse and worked in nursing homes and the hospital in Shenandoah County. In 2015 she married her best friend, Nathan Rexrode.
Becca was a gifted pianist and loved playing for her family and friends. Her personality was adorable and she had a natural ability to keep everyone laughing.
She loved Jesus and loved helping others.
Becca was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Rexrode.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Julie Sherrill of Middlebrook, VA; siblings, Emily (Rick) Luciano of New Market, VA, Laura Sherrill of Edinburg, VA, Aaron Sherrill of Middlebrook, VA, Susannah (David) Auclair of New Market, VA, and Jessica Sherrill of Mint Springs, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Sherrill and Pastor Jeremy Poling officiating. 
Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. 
Active pallbearers will be Aaron Sherrill, Davy Forehand, Danny Forehand, Rick Luciano, Jonathan Sherrill, and David Auclair. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
