Larry Lassiter

Larry Cornell Lassiter, 72, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2025 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. He was born March 11, 1952, son of the late Eleanor B. (Williams) Miller and Alphonso Miller.

Larry retired from NIBCO and truly enjoyed cutting wood and helping others.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Rose; his brother, Kenny Lassiter and his niece, Kendra Rose Banks.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Roxanne Lassiter; his twin sons, Larry and Gary Lassiter; his step-son, Christopher Washington: his four brothers, Lawrence Williams, Ron Lassiter (Linda), Alphonso “Pee Wee” Miller (Karen) and Keith Miller (Isabelle); his three sisters, Barbara Pope, Tamara Miller and Terry Gatewood (Samuel); numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro, with Bishop T. E. Payne, Sr. officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and especially the nurses at UVA for their care of Larry.
