Ann Scoles Obituary

Ann Zenobia Scoles, 75, of Toms Brook, VA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Harbor Hospital surrounded by her family.

Ann was born on February 5, 1949, in Cheverly, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Powell Dryden and Leona Anna Dryden as well as her husband of 52 years, Patrick Rafael Scoles.

She graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland and the University of Maryland College Park with a major in Math and a minor in Psychology. She was a housemaker, programmer at Prince George's Community College and a member of the Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame in Washington DC. She was a world traveler and nature lover.

Ann is survived by her two sons Shawn Scoles of Pasadena, MD, and Damian Scoles (Debora) of Naperville, IL and three grandchildren Nicholas, Sarah, and Matthew of Naperville, IL; and her two sisters, Leona Baumgart of Los Gatos, CA and Barbara Meehan of Frederick, MD.

A funeral service for Mrs. Scoles will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
