Robert Wayne Harmon

Robert Wayne "Bob" Harmon, 82, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Blue Ridge Nursing & Rehab.

He was born on October 1, 1941 and was a son of the late Emory William and Reba Leona (Grady) Harmon.

Bob operated Robert W Harmon Water Hauling for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, played fast-pitch softball and was the Clover Hill Bucks "Ticket Man".

On April 19, 1964, Robert was united in marriage to Julia Mauzy "Judy" (Messersmith) Harmon who preceded him in death on October 23, 2015.

Bob is survived by his son, Robbie Harmon and wife Hope, of Dayton; granddaughter, Sydney Harmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by sister, Betty Burns and brothers, Harry Harmon and Donald Harmon.

A graveside service celebrating Robert's life will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Clover Hill Cemetery with Mark Reese officiating. Following the graveside, the family will receive friends from 3:30-4:30 PM at the Clover Hill Church fellowship hall.
